Rose Festival
A judging committee, organized of professionals from various fields and celebrities,
will combined the scores of pre-judgment, which is going to be held before hand plus
the contest scores and bring out the final results at the very day. 7 prizewinners will be
selected and be given names and prizes plus trophies as follows. Jin, Seon, Mi
prizewinners will be promoted as publicity activists of Pohang City.
Donghae byeolsingut
Reviving Donghae Byeolsingut prevailed around
Pohang's neighboring regions from ancient times, this
event is hoping for the prosperity and unity of Pohang
citizen, and praying for a good harvest and food haul
of fish
This event is the revival of Janggi Mopo Juldarigi designated as a national cultural property (Major fold Class No187)The rule of the game ; two parts, southern and northern teams match five times and the part which win three games first will be the winner.
The materials of the rope air arrowroot vine and Gupi Peel.The length of the rope is 58m and circumference 15cm.This rope in pair is regarded as the biggest and strongest rope in Korea
Jige Sangyeo
Jige sangyeo is the funeral cermony for an
impersonalizedJige(A-frame), which has a hard life to
carry heavy cargo.It has been prevailed in the inner
regions of East Coast as
an unique traditional cultural event.woodsman have
enjoyed playing this game when collectingfire woods.
