Subject : Dano Day Festival
The fifth day of the fifth lunar month has traditionally been called "Dano," "Suri," or "Cheonjungjeol," the day when Koreans prayed for a good harvest. In the past, women washed their hair in iris water and went out to swing while men enjoyed ssireum (traditional Korean wrestling).
To preserve this tradition, the city of Seoul is holding "Seoul Dano Folk Festival" every year. Visitors can enjoy traditional performances and traditional dishes of Dano.
