Unlike western meals, most dishes in a Korean meal come together and people at the table share the side dishes.
Koreans have meals mainly with chopsticks and a spoon. When you have finished a meal, the chopsticks and spoon are placed beside your plate. Do not ever place the chopsticks in your rice. Chopsticks are usually placed into the rice only at offerings for the deceased.

Young people you should wait until the eldest member of the group begins to eat. It is quite acceptable to chew food and to drink soup with a little noise but do not blow your nose while eating. It is regarded as impolite behavior. It is also considered impolite to hold a bowl or dish in your hand when eating.
