From October 2 to 10, some 200 films from 60 nations and 4,000 film-industry guests from 40 countries will gather in the international port city, Busan, for the Pusan International Film Festival. This year's festival includes 8 different themes. "A Window on Asian Cinema" will showcase new and sensational films produced by Asian directors who are becoming more well known. "Korean Panorama" will present superior new Korean films, and ?œWide Angle," will introduce an eclectic mix of shorts and documentaries from all over the world. ?œOpen Cinema??will serve good films for the whole family as well as some popular films.
The feature films will run 4~5 times a day, at participating theatres throughout Busan. Audiences??members can take part in selecting the winners. Whether you are a cinema enthusiast or simply enjoy catching a movie now and then, this is the festival for you. ("Pusan" is the former spelling of Busan.)
