Subject : Korean Folk Games area opens at KNTO
A Korean Folk Games Corner is open in KNTO's Tourist Information Center

All are invited to the Tourist Information Center in the B-1 level of the Korea National Tourism Organization Building, especially overseas tourists, over the “Lunar New Year's Day " Holiday from February 7 through 10.

During this period the TIC will hold various cultural events inclusive of Korean folk games corner, Korean film screening, free digital photographs, and more.

Visitors may like to try featured folk games such as Jegichagi, tassel kicking, Yut, a board game played tossing four sticks into the air, and Paeng-i chigi, top spinning, Tuho, arrow throwing. Also, the famous Korean film "Chunhang 2000"(Director Im Kwon-taek)will be screened with English subtitles at 2 p.m. everyday Jan. 8 through 10.

TIC staffs will help visitors enjoy the events, and present a Bok-jumeoni, Korean fortune purse (literal translation: "blessing pocket") and Ssalgwaja(Korean rice cakes) in wishes for good luck in your future.
To have a memorable picture taken here, please feel free to ask a TIC guide (English is spoken) and they will e-mail your digital photo file after the holiday or provide a polaroid photo on the spot.

To reach the TIC by subway, get off at Jonggak Station on Line 1 (Exit 5), or Euljiro 1(il)-ga Station on Line 2 (Exit 2). The KNTO building is located near the corner of Cheonggyecheonno and Namdaemunno, across from the Youngpoong Bookstore and Cho Hung Bank.
